As a reputable company in Indonesia, KFTD governs the company with ethics and principles of good corporate governance (GCG) to establish a clean and professional ecosystem for the sake of the company’s continuity. KFTD’s integrity towards law violations is shown by systematic actions to address law violations, including gratification, corruption, and other harmful legal issues.
These are the actions taken by KFTD to handle gratification as one form of corruption practices.
Establishing a Gratification Work Unit
A gratification control unit known as UPG is primarily responsible for all gratification matters in KFTD. One of their duties is to prepare technical instructions to assist in the implementation of gratification controls. They are also required to inform and educate all employees, third parties, and the public about the possible damage of KFTD corruption practices.
Providing a Reporting System
To support the KFTD integrity in implementing GCG principles, a reporting system is established. A law violation can be reported by internal employees, the public, third parties, or institutions through a mechanism of WBS (Whistle Blowing System). All of the reports received are anonymous to protect the confidentiality of whistleblowers.
Following Up on the Report
An investigation team will immediately examine and gather relevant details about the report received. During the investigation, the whistleblower might be asked to provide supporting evidence while also being granted legal protections. After the investigation is completed, the investigation team determines the status of the KFTD corruption. The report may be terminated if the evidence is insufficient or invalid.
Deciding the Sanction
Once the status of the law violation is valid, the final decision team (TPTA) will then determine sanctions for the gratification offender in accordance with applicable law in KFTD. The whistleblower will be informed about the final decision on the handling of gratification objects.
KFTD has firmly declared its commitment against law violation, specifically gratification by providing the employees and the public with the gratification policies that are poured into the gratification control guidelines which includes the handling procedure as a sign of KFTD integrity.
